Art College Prep
This course is designed for art college prep for freshman or transfer college applications. We work with each student in the full development of a conceptually based and technically excellent portfolio. This course includes all aspects of support in the entire college application process including, but not limited to, consultations, essay writing, application forms, photography of the portfolio and communication with colleges.
In Ashcan Studio’s Portfolio Preparation classes, our instructors work individually with each student to develop projects that are in line with their interests. An Instructor meets with students one on one throughout the class period to discuss ideas and work in progress. Each Instructor at Ashcan Studio specializes in one area of the Visual Arts, for example; Figure Studies, Sculpture, Drawing, Film, Design and Architecture others.
Graduate Level: This course is for students who have completed a four-year college degree and are interested in furthering their education. We work with each student to develop a major-specific, professional level portfolio and graduate admissions packet. This course includes all aspects of support in the entire graduate school application process including, but not limited to, consultations, essay writing, application forms, photography of the portfolio and communication with colleges.
